Monroe police arrested a woman on Tuesday for fighting with her husband over a relationship she said he had with a co-worker.
An officer was dispatched to a local business and spoke to a man who advised that his estranged wife Patricia Tolbert had come to the business and attempted to fight him due to his relationship with his co-worker. While arguing with the man, he and Tolbert began to fight and he stated he had called the police about Tolbert after the fight was stopped. He said that he attempted to close the business doors to hold Tolbert until the police arrived.
According to the man, Tolbert began biting his hands leaving visible marks which were photographed and logged into evidence. Tolbert was later found at a residence on S. 8th Street and advised of her rights. She stated that she only went to the business to set up visitation with her children and only bit the man in self-defense. She was arrested, transported to OCC and charged with Aggravated Battery.
