NAACP to intervene, says city schools can’t be trusted to treat Blacks fairly

 Rev. Rodney McFarland, Superintendent Brent Vidrine and the Monroe City School Board say the city schools can be trusted to act fairly and does not need the Federal Courts to watchdog them, however, the local NAACP is planning to take action to say -Not so Fast.

   After its Monday night meeting at the Benoit Recreation Center, Rev. Ambrose Douzart announced that the local chapter of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People, plans to notify the Justice Department and the Federal Courts that the city school board is wrong.
