Blacks must vote to address community problems, State President tells NAACP

State NAACP president says when blacks vote at 15 percent it is an affront to the sacrifices that were paid by others to gain the right to vote.

    The need for the NAACP is just as important today as it was when it began 109 years ago, only the issues have changed. That was the message of Dr. Micheal McClanahan at the annual freedom fund banquet of the Ouachita Parish NAACP Saturday night.
