Your words are powerful

By: Rusty Potter

Proverbs 21:23 says, “Whoever watches his tongue keeps himself from trouble.” The words you use have the power to heal or the power to hurt. You have a responsibility to use your words wisely. Your words can shatter dreams or they can energize dreams. Great leaders have used the power of words to hold nations together. Words have the power to unite or separate us. If you change your words, you will change your world.

Your life will move in the direction of your words. Be careful with your words once they are spoken, they can’t be retrieved. Your words have the power to enslave or the power to empower lives. Learn to use your words wisely. Remember, every wife is a king maker. She has the power to build him up with her words. Every husband is a queen maker he also has the power to build her up with his words. We all must learn to use the power of our words to empower and to encourage others.
