Mayor Gerald Brown- reminded the Board of the extensive time which has passed as they have addressed the need of the crosswalk.

** A discussion took place concerning the placement and ownership of the of the crosswalk bridge**

There were concerns pertaining to the crosswalk being placed in an area which does not provide the best assistance for the children crossing the highway. It was further discussed that closer to the Ollie Branch Library and the subdivisions would be the best placement.

It was also discussed if it is presented to the Police Jury that Richwood would own the bridge other than the jury, they would wash their hands of the project and may not assist with the acquisition of the project.

It was also pointed out if it was stated there is no benefit to the Parish to remind them the schools in that area are parish not the Town of Richwood, the Library is Parish also, and would benefit a lot of Parish citizens with this bridge constructed.

It was discussed attending the Police Jury meeting on August 6 to show support as a whole.

It was also discussed funds set aside for the maintenance of the bridge and the required proportions based on the ability of the contributors.
