Two die, three wounded in two separate shootings; when will it end?

  The senseless murders in our city continue in what appears to be a continuous litany of shootings, stabbings, and random acts of violence. Each shooting seems to spark more shootings in retaliation for other shootings.

  Over the weekend two separate shooting incidents in South Monroe have resulted in two deaths and three others injured.

  This weekend 28-year-old Jadarrius Ross of Monroe was the victim of a shooting on Stacy Drive. The police have identified Christopher Williams as the suspect on charges of second-degree murder and possession of a firearm by a felon.

 According to the Monroe Police department, Williams is wanted for Second Degree Murder and Possession of a Firearm by a Felon.

Friday night a shooting on Winnsboro Road resulted in the death of Rodrecas Cobbs. The incident left three others wounded.

  As the deaths and shootings continue the silence of our community is deafening.
