Memorial service for Jacqueline Short held Wednesday

A graveside memorial service was held for Jacqueline Short, 61 on Wednesday, November 25th at 1 P.M. at the Magnolia Cemetery on DeSiard Street.

The funeral is under the direction of McFarland Funeral Home.

Jacqueline Gayle Short was born in Wisner, Louisiana on September 19, 1959, to the union of Louis Short and Ruth Jackson.

She was the only girl of five children. She is preceded in death by her mother and father; and her brothers, Roger Dale Short and Willie Howard Short.

Jackie graduated from Wossman High School.

Jackie attended Mezpath Baptist Church in Columbia, Louisiana. She later joined Greater Free Gift Baptist Church, under Bishop Rodney McFarland, I.

Jackie is the mother of three sons. One proceeded her in death, Carltavess Short.

Jacqueline leaves to cherish her memories: two children, Roytae Short of Monroe, Louisiana, and Montrell Short of Los Angeles, California; two brothers, Lester Jackson (DeWanna) of Monroe, Louisiana, and Eric Short of Indiana; two grandchildren, one aunt, Renia Johnson of Monroe, Louisiana; one uncle, Howard Jackson, Jr. of Los Angeles, California; her loving caretaker and special friend, Veronica Foster of Monroe, Louisiana, and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
